Mr. Markowitz began managing Crawford Lake in 2006 and is currently the portfolio manager. Prior to managing Crawford Lake, from 2004 to 2005, Mr. Markowitz was an assistant trader at Bancroft Partners. From 1999 until 2004, Mr. Markowitz was a fundamental equity investor managing assets of friends and family using a "buy-and-hold" approach. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Markowitz studied at Beth Medrash Govoha ("BMG") in Lakewood, New Jersey, where he received a Bachelor of Talmudic Studies degree. BMG is the largest Talmudic law institution in the United States.
